A1：ASME standard reducers are manufactured strictly in accordance with the ASME B16.9 standard, while Chinese national standard products typically follow GB/T 12459 or GB/T 13401. There are significant differences between the two in terms of nominal diameter, wall thickness tolerances, end bevel types, and material requirements. For example, the wall thickness classes of ASME products, such as SCH40 and SCH80, do not fully correspond to the thickness series in Chinese standards, and ASME standards impose stricter requirements on chemical composition and mechanical properties. Therefore, in practical engineering applications, it is recommended to select and install products strictly according to the standards specified in the design drawings to avoid safety hazards or installation difficulties caused by mismatched standards. If substitution is necessary, a detailed technical comparison and design validation must be carried out.

A2：Stainless steel materials such as 304, 304L, 316, and 316L inherently possess excellent corrosion resistance and can withstand corrosion from general atmospheres, water, and mild acidic or alkaline media. Under normal conditions, no additional anti-corrosion treatment is necessary. However, in specific environments-such as those with high chloride ion concentrations (e.g., seawater or salt spray), high temperature and humidity, or corrosive chemical media-issues like pitting corrosion or stress corrosion cracking may still occur. In such cases, pickling and passivation treatments can be applied to form a stable passive film, or higher-grade materials such as 316L or 321 may be selected based on the service environment. Regular maintenance and cleaning also contribute to extending service life.
