In pipe fitting orders, elbow dimensions should be checked before the goods leave the workshop. The supplied ASME B16.9-2024 sheet gives NPS sizes from 1/2 inch to 48 inch, plus outside diameter at bevel and center-to-end values. A 4 inch long radius 90 degree elbow uses a 114.3 mm outside diameter and 152 mm center-to-end length. The 45 degree type uses the same outside diameter, but its center-to-end length is 64 mm.
These details are not just numbers on paper. They help the buyer check drawings, prepare pipe spools and avoid wrong-size fittings on site. During packing, clear size marks and order labels make warehouse sorting easier. This simple checking habit can save time when a project is already under pressure, especially when the installation team has limited space for storing mixed fittings. It also gives the buyer a clearer record for later repeat orders.
